distinctive restaurant
featuring both traditional
and continental specialties
inspired by the island’s
aromatic spices and flavours,
revealing a fascinating
cuisine. Tantalize your

Ocean.
Spices
When the wind blows,
the fragrance of spice is
deliciously strong and you
know you are in Zanzibar.
Courtyard
The Courtyard Lounge is a
hidden retreat in a perfect
setting for those just
wanting to unwind. It is a
symphony of water sounds,
greenery and enchanting
traditional taarab music in
the heart of the town. Where
you will be able to linger
over a freshly brewed coffee
and indulge in the delights
of a traditional Zanzibar
tea, accompanied by a
selection of freshly baked
pastries in Stone Town’s
first Tea Lounge.
Taarab
Taarab rose to prominence
in 1928 with the rise of the
genre's first star, Siti
binti Saad from Zanzibar.
The word Taarab, a loanword
from Arabic, means "having
joy with music". |
